How much does it cost to charge at IECharge?

Customers who do not have a contract with a eMobility Service Provider (eMSP) can access all IECharge charging locations via their mobile device or bank card. Customers pay per kilowatt hour (kWh). Direct customers of IECharge pay according to the following pricing scheme :

How can I charge via my bank card?

Before charging, hold your debit card against the contactless payment logo. Follow the further instructions on the display. An amount will be reserved on your payment account, so we can be sure that the charging session will be settled. The following Bank Cards are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, V-Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay.

How can I charge via the mobile app: step-by-step?

NOTE: Please don't connect the charger with your car at this stage. Complete the steps in the app first, then connect the charger. This is important in order to prevent a time-out and a failed charging attempt.

  1. Open the IECharge app on your mobile phone and select the charging station from the map, where you are standing. If you allowed the app to use your location, the correct charging station will show up.
  2. Alternatively, you can search for a station by entering the location in the search field just under the map and select the correct station from the list.
  3. Click on “Charge Icon” and, if required, confirm by pressing “Continue” if you are ready to charge.
  4. Select the available charger in the app, at which your car is parked. Please make sure the number displayed on the charger (near the display) and in the app match. For example: you park at charger 3 🡪 select charger 3 in the app.
  5. If you want to proceed with the charging session, press “Start charging”. Here you will also see the price.
  6. Select one of your saved payment methods or enter a new payment method. If you have Google Pay or Apple Pay enabled on your phone, you can use these payment methods as well.
  7. Press again "Start Charging". Connect the charger with your car. Make sure the plug sits firmly and wait for message in the app “Charger Connected”.
  8. Stop charge: click at the bottom of your phone’s screen to stop. Wait for message "Disconnect your vehicle".
  9. A receipt will be sent to your registered email address on the following working day and you can look at old charging sessions in the app, under “Charge History”.
How can I charge via my RFID charge card?

Step-by-step guidance with a RFID/ charging card at IECharge locations

  1. Select the charging point.
  2. Hold your RFID / charging card in front of the reader.
  3. Connect the plug with your car. Please make sure the plug sits correctly and hold it firmly for 20-30 seconds, until it's locked. Once you hear the charger powering up and the screen showing the active charging session, you can release it.
  4. After successful authentication the connector will get locked and after a few seconds, charging will start automatically.
  5. After finished charging, unplug connector from your car.
